Something I have learned outside of class work

Well outside of class work I have been learning how to Tattoo. I own A Tattoo machine and equipment so I have been working on myself. I am pretty much self taught so no one helped me learn how to use A Tattoo machine. I learned how to Tattoo because I Am Interested in Tattoos and because Tattoos are really expensive.

How do you think people form their beliefs? Experiences? Family? Are they born with them? Other ideas?

Well I'm not quite sure how people form their beliefs but I'm a Atheist so I don't really believe in anything. My whole family except for me is Christain though. I think people form their beliefs from their family or sometimes friends.

Well I have not been in school in a while for one reason. A few weeks ago I found out my grandpa has cancer. He has been in the hospital for about a week and he is dying. I dont know when he will pass away though but I hope it's pretty soon cause he is in alot of pain and is suffering. He is also caughing up blood sometimes. Thats why I have not been in school

Tell me what you kind of fun stuff you did over break and if you did any reading.

Well I didn't really do that much over break I was basically moving all break and unpacking. I also got to hang out with my girlfriend so that was pretty cool I guess but other then that I didn't really do that much.

Well I was not here when we had a substitute because I had a migrain for two or three days.

If you were Anne Frank today and had to hide from the Taliban in Iraq or Afghanistan, what would be the same and what would be different? (This could be physically or mental and emotionally).

Well it would be a lot different today then it was when Anne was alive cause today a lot of people carry guns and know how to fight. another thing that is different today ifs we have way more advanced technology then they had. Also i really don't think the government and the president would let the holocaust happen again.

What do you think Anne should do to get along better with he mother and the van danns? I think that maybe Anne should get to know them more better. I also think that she should talk to them a little bit more and start a new relationship with them. Then maybe they would be a lot nicer to Anne.

Well I don't really know what to write about so I'm going to write about my plans after I get my GED. Well this might sound a little weird or funny but I'm going to join the police force and become a police officer. But first I need to go through training but it has always been my dream to become a police officer. So I kinda like to keep this a secret from everyone cause not a lot of people like the police. I also don't really look like the type of guy to become a police officer.

Write about a fear you have. What are you afraid of and why? Well for the longest time ever since I was ten years old I have been afraid of clowns. Because when I was ten I went to a carnival somewhere in aumsville and this clown just totally freaked me out. He kinda looked like the clown from the movie called ''It''. But I don't know if I'm still afraid of clowns cause I haven't seen a clown in a while. I'm also afraid of butterfly's but I don't know why.

Describe Mrs. Van Daan what is her personality like? Support your opinion with examples from the book.

She is very mean to Anne and always yells at her and they get in arguments. She thinks she is smarter than everyone. She is very pushing and demanding. She ease drops and gets into and interrupts everyones conversations.

Describe Anne's father (Pim). What is his personality like? Support your opinion with examples from the book.

Well it seems to me like Anne's father cares more about her then her mother does. He also seems a lot nicer and more friendly than Anne's mother. He also does more things for Anne.

What are your impressions and thoughts about what is good and bad about downtown Salem? Well I think there is a lot of stuff to do downtown. There is the Salem center mall there is a tattoo shop and there is a instrument store. There is only one thing about downtown I don't like which is there are way to many cops.

Where do you get the news? paper? TV? Friends and family? Online? What do you think is the best way to get the news? Well I get the news from on my laptop or on TV. I only watch the news in the morning so that way I know what is going to happen ahead of time.

Do you think a diary is a good way to learn about World war 2? Why or why not? What is good about it? What is missing?

Well I think that it is a good way to learn about World War 2 because it's a good way to see what their life was like. That's also usually how people find out what happened by finding photos or houses buried underground or bones and letters and diaries.

What im doing this weekend

Well this weekend I am going to hang out with my girlfriend cause she wants to spend time with me on valentines day. On Friday I am going to hang out with my friend Chase and drive around all night with Levi. Then me and chase and Levi and Andre are going to McKay park to chill and ride dirt bikes in the football field.

What kind of person is Anne's mother? How does she act? What does Anne say about her?

Well Anne thinks that her mother likes her sister Margot more than her. Anne and her mother gets in big arguments. Anne's mother treats Anne like a baby. Anne's mother acts like shes a little mean because she favors over her sister Margot. She seems like she doesn't care about Anne at all.

Genocide: The deliberate extermination of an entire people.

Why do you think genocide happens? It was happening in Anne Frank to the Jew's and it continues to happen around the world even today.

Well It's because a lot of people are racist or against gays or anything else. Just because they have different beliefs or have different interest. Even though those people are just like everyone else. They may act different or have a different opinion about something. It doesn't mean they are different from everyone else.

How often and what do you read outside of class? If you don't read outside of class what could you read and when? I don't read in my spare time. If I did I would probably most likely read "Long hard road out of hell". It's a book written by Marilyn Manson. It's about Marilyn Manson as a kid and a teenager growing up to an adult it's a interesting book.

What are your thoughts on the book so far? What do you like or dislike which characters are interesting to you? How does the setting (when,where) affect the story? Well I don't really enjoy this book that much cause it's not really that interesting to me. The characters talk different so its sometimes hard to understand what they are saying or talking about. The setting in this book takes place in Germany in an abandoned building behind a secret bookcase. They share the abandoned building they live in with 8 different people. They dont have a shower or tub they have to take a bath in a water closet . They also have a very limited supply of food so they have to cut back on how much they eat. This story took place in the 1930s-1940s.

Anne said: "I must become good through my own efforts, Without examples and without good advise." What do you think she means by this, Or how would that apply in today's world? I think she means that she has to try to become good without anyone telling her or helping her be good. She doesn't want anyone to give her any advise on how to be good. She is also saying people cant change people. The only thing that can change a person is themselves.

"Despite everything, I believe people are really good at heart." Do you agree with Anne Frank? Why or why not? Well my opinion on people is that some people are nice and some are are not. No one can control the way they act but themselves. But no one should trust everybody because not all people can be trusted.

Things that irritate me

Well one thing that irritates me is when people talk shit about me behind my back and then I hear about it from one of my friends.

What would i miss if i was in hiding like Anne Frank

Well if I was hiding like Anne Frank I would miss playing Guitar and Music. I would also miss Skateboarding and that's pretty much it. I guess there is not much you could do while hiding. It sounds pretty boring to me to just sit around doing nothing all day everyday.

I think that people tried to help Anne Frank and her family to hide them because they thought they should stick together. They probably thought that the more people they had hiding together the better chance they have to survive. Maybe they also thought that if Anne and her family were with them the SS would not find any more Jews because they were all hiding in the same place.

Anne Frank

Anne Frank was born 1929. She had one sister named Margot, who was three years older than Anne Frank. They all lived in Frankfurt in Germany until Anne turned four. In 1933 in Germany the holocaust started and was led by Adolf Hitler. They hated and victimized mostly Jewish people. Anne and her family were Jewish so in 1933 they had to move to Amsterdam.

Something that makes me happy

Something that makes me happy is playing guitar and drawing. When I play guitar I can play whatever I want and it helps me relax. I like drawing cause I can show what I'm feeling through my art work. Sometimes when I draw and I'm really upset I draw some morbid and gory drawings. When I'm happy I draw shrooms and other stuff like that. Another thing that makes me happy is hanging with friends.

What I know about Anne Frank

Well Anne Frank was one of the longest survivors of the Holocaust. She was hiding in a big building in a secret room behind a book case for 25 months. She also wrote in a diary to talk about her life. She named her diary Kitty and wrote in it everyday. Anne Frank was also a Jew so that's why she was hiding from Hitler and the SS. The school she used to go to is now called Anne Frank. And that's all I pretty much know about her.

A time i stood up for someone

When I went to McKay High School I was a junior. Some guy named Austin Zepeda was starting a fight with my friend Frank. I cut in the fight and got out my brass knuckles and threatened him And Austin was really pissed for some reason. He was so mad he was shaking and eager to fight Frank. I told him if he touched Frank his ass would be on the ground. He asked me what I was going to do about it. Then Austin punched Frank in the jaw and everything went out of hand. They both were all bloody and had torn clothes. So I swiped Austins legs from under neath him and he fell. Then I started beating the shit out of him as hard as I could until a police officer named officer Davis came and shot me with a stun gun. Me and Austin and Frank were all in trouble for fighting in public and because I had brass knuckles in my pocket.

What i know about the holocaust

Well I know a lot about the holocaust. I know that a guy named Adolf Hitler started it cause he hated mostly Jews and other race's. I know he called his army SS officers. He would torture people or make them kill them selves or their family. When Hitler was a kid he had a pretty bad childhood and his dad hated him. Hitler wanted to become a painter cause he liked art. His dad did not want him to become a painter so Hitler hated his dad. I think that Hitler started the Holocaust for one reason because of his father and because of how rough of a childhood he had. Later when things went bad for Hitler he shot himself in the head cause he didn't want to be captured. I also heard he had something wrong with him like he had some type of disease or something.

Music

Well I like music a lot and music is pretty much my life. Without music no one would be who they are today. I play acoustic and electric guitar and I sometimes play drums but I'm the best at acoustic and electric guitar. I can play anything and everything by ear just by hearing the song on the radio. I would have to say my favorite bands are Slipknot and Blue October cause I like metal and Blue October's singing sounds awesome. The band Blue October uses electric guitar,acoustic guitar,drums,violins and a lot of others. I guess my favorite band is Blue October. any way I have a band called Skin Ticket and we are a Screamo band. I'm the lead singer I'm pretty good at it too. Every weekend we go in my garage and jam together for about three hours and we record our songs on a CD. When I get older I want my band to get a record deal that's my dream. I definitely can not live without music.

My imaginary story

One day me and my uncle Norm went to the Ike Box. Norm sucked at driving he even drove on the sidewalk. Anyway we went to the Ike Box and a band named GodSmack played there. It was sick and everyone was moshing and then Norm got out of control and got in a fight with some Nazi skinhead guy. The skinhead threw Norm to the ground and busted open his kneecap. We later found out the skinhead guy was an ex marine. Later that night Norm went to the hospital and lost his leg.

Haiti earthquake

I dont know how i would feel being in a earthquake. I have never been in one before but i guess it must suck for the other people in the Haiti earthquake. Oregon does not have that much erathquakes and if it did they would be really small quakes.

Make up a character (based on someone i know)

Well this friend of mine acts really crazy and strange and he will do anything you tell him to do even if it means he has to break a arm or a leg to do it. He is actually my uncle. His name is Norm and he has a lot of tattoos and piercings. He is very crazy he skateboards and he's pro at it. He almost became pro skater but he turned the sponsor company down. He did not want to skate for a living. He also used to go to school with Bam Margera and Tony Hawk when he was in high school in California and he is still friends with them. He is a very good artist which he could of went to art school and became a artist. He is also an expert at playing the guitar and drums but my uncle didn't want to use any of those ability's to become famous cause he said those are hobbies of his so now he lives in New Hampshire and he is just barely getting by with his job and he does not make that much money.

Pick a place you know well

My favorite place that I'm at all the time 24/7 is my room. It's my favorite place because it's unique to me cause I put posters and pictures of my friends and my favorite bands on my wall. It's a nice place for me to chill and listen to music or do whatever. I have a huge stereo, a picture of Bam Margera with his autograph on it and then I have a lot of skateboards hanging on my wall. I also sleep on an air mattress but that's my favorite place to chill and that's where I'm at most of the time.

A time my band performed in front of an audiance

Well this one day me and Dillon who is my guitar player thought of an idea to play in our band in front of an audience. We registered to play a show at the Ike box downtown last year. It was on a Friday. we went on a city bus downtown around like 7:00 at night. We got our instruments and my microphone set up. there was quite a bit of people like maybe easily 70 or 80 any way we played a song called California dreaming. Our band is a Death Metal band so of course a lot of people were moshing to our scream-o. It was pretty funny seeing people get their asses kicked by bigger guys it was hilarious. When our show was over we packed up and left around 8:00. I wish we could get a record label someday and become famous though. But for now we are SkinTicket a small underground Salem,Oregon band.

My life story in chronological order

Well when I was about 10 years old I started playing guitar and drawing and getting into a lot of different kinds of music. When I was about 14 I started smoking cigarette's and I still played guitar and did drawings a little. Now I am 17 about to turn 18 and I chew and smoke and play guitar and draw a lot for tattoo designs and I even started my own band and stuff and I get in trouble a little but not as much as I used to ever since the Walmart fire and couch fire I started. When I turn about 19-20 I'm thinking about either tattooing or be a artist or something like that. I'm kinda thinking about what I'm going to do with my life. At a point in my life a few months ago I was going to join the marines but I thought about it more and decided I would not be into that kind of stuff. That's why I'm at the Downtown Learning

Center by choice trying to figure out what to do with my life so I don't screw up anymore.

A time i got caught

When I was a sophomore at McKay high school i was skipping at McKay park. Me and my Friends found two couch's. We were bored so we thought it would be funny to light the couch's On fire. So we did and they both went up in flames. So then we heard sirens so we started running toward the street then a cop chased us and stopped us and told us to sit on the curb Then he handcuffed us and there were like two fire trucks three cops and a ambulance so he asked us if We did it and i said no. Then he found a video camera in my pocket with lighters so he found a Video on the camera of us lighting the couch on fire so he threw us in back of his police car and we were arrested. We were charged for 2nd degree arson.

What i did over break

Over break I didn't really do that much I just chilled at my house all break watching a movie Called Bruno and the Fith Element. Bruno was funny and the Fith Element I didn't get what it Was About. I also watched MTV, played Xbox 360 and slept it was a pretty boring break but I Couldn't wait to get back from break cause there was nothing to do and on Christmas I Got a old Atari video game system and that was pretty much all I did on my Break.
